There are 6 things you can do with the Power you have as a Christian!
Before telling you more about them, let me point out that this post came out of a conversation I had with one of my church members. Among the other things we talked about, the idea of what kind of power we have as Christians came up.
In case you did not know, as a Christian, you have tremendous power with you. With that power, you can unlock so many things in your life and in the lives of people around you.
The foundation of it all is faith in God through Jesus Christ. And when you believe, you receive power to become a child of God. (John 1: 12).
But let me note that you should also keep in mind that everything that happens is God’s doing through you.
Here’s what happens once you are a child of God as a result of believing in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
- You have Power to bind and loose anything on earth and in heaven. (Matthew 18:18).
- You have Power to unlock what, in the eyes of humans, seem so unimaginable and impossible. God is the one who does stuff in our lives. But, He does it through the power that’s in us. (Ephesians 3:20).
- You have Power to bring everything into obedience to God’s plan. (2 Corinthians 19:5).
- You have Power to influence in all aspects of life. To those who receive the Holy Spirit, they also have power to become God’s witnesses. They have a personal experience with God, which makes their lifestyle contagious. (Acts 1:8).
- You have Power to overcome sin and all temptations. Part of the power is that you have the choice to say no to any behavior or lifestyle that’s sinful. Also, you have the ability to overcome sin and temptations through Jesus Christ who helps those who are tempted. (Hebrews 2:18).
- You have Power to do it all. Yes, you can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). You’re unstoppable because you are a part of God’s plan for humankind. He lives in you and works through you.
Remember that you also have power to share some love with everyone. Show it by sharing this reflection with somebody. Thank you very much for doing it.
