Your daily routine should start with everything that will enable you to set a strong tone for the rest of your day.
I personally use three concepts, as a Christian and human being: belief, confession, and proclamation.
Believing requires information, which shapes our belief system.
It’s even the foundation of all your values. These values determine how you conduct yourself throughout the day.

There are a lot of digital tools you could use for that. Click on the picture below to get a list of a few I would recommend.

Next, you have to confess what you believe.
What that means is you own up to something you know or believe, and tell it forthrightly to all who should hear it.
In other words, you establish a solid foundation that makes you strong for the rest of the day.
For us Christians, the Bible frames our belief system. It also gives us words of affirmation about how we should live our days.
Every morning, when I start my day, I use scriptural affirmations.
For example, and since God, my Father, is also the Creator, then by nature I am also a creator. I, therefore, remind myself of God’s creative power that I have in me. Prayer helps me reconnect with that power.
That power is the divine ability to create things in my surroundings. It’s the source of knowledge, wisdom, healing, influence, and creativity.
It’s why I’ve made my prayer such a vital part of my daily routines.
Whenever I pray I always ask God to help me maintain that God’s presence in me, which is also the ability to create.
What that means is when I teach through preaching, or writing, someone learns one or two things from God, not from. me.
And, you can use the ability to create in your business, profession, career, as a Christian. God is able to reveal to you so much more than you could ever imagine.
In case you didn’t know, a power that is greater than anything else resides in you as a result of your faith in Christ!
Read the following scriptures to help you with that (and there are more just like these two):
- Philippians 4:13.
- John 1:12; 14:12.
What you read in the morning, you’ve got to believe and make it your personal statements for the entire day.
Then, you have to confess and proclaim them and if possible share them with friends or family members.
Another routine you need to establish has to do with how you end your day.
For many years now, I’ve been using DayOne for journaling. Three things I always include in my journal are:
-
-
- I’m grateful for …
- What would make today great?
- Daily affirmation
-
I write in my journal after spending some time in prayer and reading Scripture. For Bible reading, I always use the “Bible” App from Life.church. As for journaling, I use Day One.
You can find them on the App Store or Google Play store.
It’s always helpful to start your day and end it with gratitude, and daily affirmations grounded in God’s word.
To end your day, you could use the same format above, but with little tweaks. Here’s an example:
-
-
- I’m grateful for …
- Two things that happened today …
- How I could have made today better …
- Daily affirmation.
-

What you realize is that faith in Christ gives us victories on all levels of who we are:
- Spiritual – we have power over evil and do not fall into temptations.
- Mental – our mind is on God’s word, which defines the way we perceive ourselves in the world as well as we should interact with our surroundings (people, and environments).
- Emotional – we know how to love, forgive, and serve others.
- Physical – we care for our body knowing that it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (diet, physical mobility, sleep, etc.)

Having established rituals also allows you to free yourself from your past hurts, grief, etc. These routines enable you to focus on the present and the future God has in store for you. They set you up for what lies ahead rather than what’s already done (your past).
