Today, let me tell you that God has a very unique plan for you.

It doesn’t matter how your week or day went. Whether your life is going as planned or not, you’re here and alive for a reason.

For you to get a better sense of what I’m talking about here, you’ll need to take a look at two of my previous posts in this series: Biblical Understanding of God’s Promises and How to Wait on God’s Promises. All these posts come from my book; Christ is Risen: SO WHAT?There are three things you need to know about God’s plan for you.

God’s plan is grounded in Who God is

There are two things you should keep in mind about Who God is.

First, God is faithful.

  • God keeps His covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments.God does it with these people down to a thousand generations after them. See Deuteronomy 7: 9.

Second, God’s nature is that, based on Exodus 3: 14, God does not change.

  • God said to Moses when he had asked God about His name: “I am Who I am.”
  • God is the Maker and Creator of all things, including human beings. God has no beginning and end. That means God does not change, but He changes everything and everyone.

God’s plan has two purposes in life

God’s plan is for your welfare.

God wants you to be well.

Being well does not always have to do with what we want. It has to do with what we need. And, what God thinks about us is what we need the most. That is the best your life needs.

God’s plan is that you have a future and hope.

Your future and hope aren’t founded on what you know or have. What you have can change anytime. Or what you have can be lost some day.

God’s plan is that you have a future and hope.

This community, which helps you experience God’s plan for life, is established through covenant relationships with God and with each other.

In the Bible, there are two major covenants: Old Testament and New Testament. I talked about that in my first post in the series, Biblical Understanding of God’s Promises.

Abraham represents the key person in the Old Testament, primarily because of the covenant God made with him and his descendants.

As a result of that, Abraham had become the father of all believers. But, his covenant with God was to affect only his biological descendants.

Of course, Jesus is considered to be one of the descendants of Abraham for the fact that he was born Jew.

How about you and I, who are not biologically Abraham’s descendants? How do you become a part of God’s plan for humankind?

You and I are like wild branches God has grafted to the Olive tree (see Romans 11: 11-24). This tree also represents Jesus Christ, who, according to John 15, is the true Vine.

By faith in Jesus Christ, God makes us children of God (John 1: 12).

Belong to this family has made us the body of Christ, the Church of God.

We can, therefore, experience hope and future by doing the following:

  • Believe and receive Jesus Christ into your life.
  • Invite Jesus to be Lord and God in your everyday living. Do it on a daily basis.
  • Make sure you belong to God’s family. It can be in the form of small groups, covenant or accountability groups, etc.

As a child of God, you’ve got to tell the story of a super God, a super “YOU” you’ve become and super possibilities that we can only experience through faith in Jesus Christ. That is God’s plan for you!
