Rejoice and be glad always!
Joy is a feeling that we all want to experience. Don’t we?
But the question is: “what kind of joy do you want?”
If you want a type of joy that’s created by what you see, hear or do, then, that joy will short lived. In other words, this is a joy that’s dependent on external conditions.
Also this kind of joy only exists when you meet the conditions that have always brought it to you.
The other joy however I’m talking about, and which I would like you to have is the one that does not depend on external conditions.
This kind of joy depends on your inner being: mind and spirit.
This joy isn’t dependent on your environment. And, because of that, you will always be able to be well and thrive no matter what!
Here’s what I mean by that:
- Joy comes out of a sound body, mind and spirit.
- Joy comes out of the experience of growing as a person.
This kind of joy is contagious. It results into changing your environment and surroundings.
In other words:
- People are touched because of your joy.
- Your joy changes your surroundings.
- You grow independently from what’s happening around you.
- Nothing can kill your joy because it derives from the state of your mind and spirit, which you express through your daily living.
So, joy isn’t only a smile, but something that tells of what the state of your mind and spirit is. You express who you truly are by rejoicing and being glad.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4, ESV.)
Remember to show some joy by sharing this with someone else. Thank you for doing so!
