It’s a New Year and you’ve probably heard enough about new year’s resolutions.

Yes, you need goals (resolutions) for yourself. But, the question is how to set goals that you’ll be able to achieve.

As you think of resolutions or goals for this year, did you know that 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail like by February?

There could be many reasons why. But, what I’m offering you through this blog post are tips that will help you set resolutions (or goals) that will not fail.

Know that You’re God’s Masterpiece!

Oh yes, you are a part of a bigger work. It’s much bigger than your everyday living.

That’s exactly what Paul told the Church in Asia Minor. Read Ephesians 2: 10. And, what I share with you in the following lines comes out of that Scripture.

You need to know four things out of Ephesians before moving onto establishing your New Year’s resolutions.

God created you for a purpose

Starting from this point shifts your entire understanding of goal-setting. You learn to approach them from the perspective that God is the center of them all.

And, here’s what this shift implies:

God creates (or re-creates) you. No one does it. This process of re-creating isn’t your coach’s, pastor’s or human effort (or expertise). It doesn’t come from a program or workshop.

Even though God can still use all the above. However, they’re just all empty and void of any power to create you into who God wants. God is the One Who uses them.

God creates us not be like who we were in the past. 3) God creates us to be new people ( a new creation).

Creation takes place through Christ Jesus.

God’s purpose for creating you anew is that you can DO

God creating you anew is for a purpose! God creates you so that you can DO. As you can tell doing comes after creation.

And, who you could become this New Year is what God has in mind. God can make you BE.

When it comes to doing, here a few things you should keep in mind:

» Doing is a result not of our own doing.

        » Doing is God doing.

» Doing comes out of being created anew.

        » Doing is organic.

DO good things

The doing  isn’t about what we think is right. It’s what God thinks is right for us. That’s why you should start with God. You should look into God’s mind.

That sounds very tough and challenging for all of us. Doesn’t it?

Let me tell you that what you and I should look for already exists. Also, keep in mind that it is in God alone you can discover it.

The reason why is because God has already planned good works (things) for you and I long ago.

» Doing so is key to discovering why we’re on earth this year.

» You succeed at everything you do this year by living in sync with what God has already planned for you.

Live in Sync with God’s Plan God Has for You

I know that you’ve got lots of questions. And, here are some you may have right now:

» How do we live in sync with God’s plan for us?

» How do I even know what God’s plan is for me?

» When do I truly know I’m in sync with God’s plan in my life?

The point is that I can’t answer all of them right now. But, let me tell you that living in synch with God’s plan implies the following:

        » Balance

        » Order

        » Harmony

You know you’re in sync with God’s plan in your life when you experience balance, order, and harmony.

How do you achieve balance, order and harmony in this life? Is it even possible?

Yes, it is. That’s I’ll share with you in the next post.

I will show you how to achieve balance, establish order and experience harmony. You need those insights so that you can have resolutions and goals that are effortless, achievable, measurable, fun and effective.

Remember to share and stay tuned!
