Every Christian Leader should have the following six attributes.
A Christian leader inspires
Being a Christian leader who inspires comes out of the ability to see what others don’t see. You may be looking at the same thing, but what the others see is different from what you see.
Inspiration is grounded into the ability that you see what’s not yet visible. It can also mean that you go to places where no one else has ever been before.
A good leader doesn’t stay in the places where others haven’t been yet. You explore them and then choose to tell people all about your experience.
You don’t stop at just telling about the experience. You do the following as a Christian leader:
- You communicate. You paint the picture of where you feel everyone else should be.
- It’s someone who creates the desire in others to allow him/her to take to this new destination (vision/dream/solution to a problem, etc.)
- It’s someone who draws a map to move people from where they are to where they would like to be.
A Christian Leader trains, resources and equips
First, it’s someone who provides the tools to help people accomplish their vision.
Second, it’s someone who makes sure the organization is a safe place for all.
A Christian Leader is emotionally intelligent (EQ)
First, it’s someone who masters the following components of Emotional Intelligence:
- Self-awareness.
- Self-regulation.
- Social skills.
- Empathy.
- Motivation.
Second, it’s someone who also helps others master all the above.
A Christian Leader is culturally intelligent (CQ)
First, it’s someone who is aware of the fact that Cultural intelligence (CQ) picks up where Emotional intelligence stops (EQ)
Second, it’s someone who embraces cultural differences and leverages them as a tool for personal and organizational growth.
Lastly, it’s someone who provides training to help others be culturally competent in the organization.
A Christian Leader is resilient
First, it’s someone who owns failures, errors and mistakes.
Second, it’s someone who chooses to learn from his/her failures, errors and mistakes
Last, it’s someone who always gets up and never is afraid to take calculated risks.
A visionary leader is always about positive social and economic change
First, it’s someone whose mission is to make the world a better place: present and future.
Second, it’s someone who embodies that mission throughout the organization or company where he/she works.
In conclusion
A Christian leader exhibits the attitudes we’ve discussed above. Not only people see those traits in you, but they see Jesus Christ in you. That’s what matters in God’s eyes.
