You are blessed!
Let me tell you that your blessing, unlike what you hear around, is not based on what you have or what you’ve accomplished.
Don’t get me wrong here.
I am not saying that all what you have is not a blessing. What I’m saying however, is that everything you and I have are tools to help us be who God wants us to be.
Your blessing is how you use your life and all the tools life brings your way.
You may be financially broke, but still blessed. Or you may be facing some physical challenges, but still blessed.
Blessing has to do more with who we are and our lifestyle we embrace. It does less with material stuff or how we feel.
1) You are blessed because you walk in God’s Word
The first mark to know that you’re blessed is by walking in God’s Word. God’s Word gives us confidence and courage to fearlessly face anything in life. Money cannot buy you confidence, courage and fearlessness to face the unpredictable.
God’s Word empowers us by reassuring us that God is with us all the time. This is God’s work in our lives.
In order to experience God’s presence on a regular basis, you have to read, study and apply God’s promises in your everyday living.
2) You are blessed because you seek God with your whole heart
The second mark to know you’re blessed is the desire to seek God with your whole heart. This means you spend enough time daily to pray invite God in your life. It is also to obey God with all your heart.
The attitude you need is that, which enables you to acknowledge the need for God in every aspect of your life.
Embracing this attitude will help you begin and end your day with God through prayer and study of God’s Word. This practice eventually makes God’s presence real in your life.
As a result of the above attitude, you will notice that you are in control of your feelings, emotions and the ways you respond to life. You will live like a winner and champion because of Jesus who lives in you.
3) You are blessed because you choose to do no wrong
The last mark that demonstrates you’re a blessed person is to choose to do no wrong.
To do no wrong has to do with your lifestyle, which is to walk in God’s ways. It is to walk as Jesus walked. It also stands for doing justice, loving kindness and walking humbly with your God (Micah 6: 6-8). The power, will and strength are gifts that come out of your personal relationship with God. This grows out of walking in God’s Word and seeking God as your two primary spiritual exercises.
Now that you know that you’re blessed, let no one tell you otherwise.
God is with you for as long as you walk in His Word, seek Him and choose do no wrong!
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! (Psalm 119: 1-3)
