This Is Who You Are!

Who am I? - Emmanuel Naweji

Everything you do or say, and the way you conduct yourself derive from who you really are.

This article will help you not only review who you are, but declare and confess it every single day of your life.

Start by reading Ephesians 1:3,

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

1) You are a child of God

Yes, you are a child of God by choosing to believe in Jesus Christ and making your personal Lord and Savior.

Here’s what Scripture says a little bit about that:

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God; children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13).

Because you are a child of God, you are no longer a slave of anything or anyone (Galatians 4:7). And, since you are a child of God, God has also made you an heir and co-heir with Jesus Christ (Romans 8:17).

You are blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ (see Ephesians 1:3).

2) You are alive through Christ's death and resurrection

Through Christ’s death and resurrection, you are alive with Christ and saved by God’s grace.

The truth is that once you choose Christ to rule over your life, you then go through the experience of dying and rise with Christ (Galatians 2:20).

That means you no longer live, but Christ lives in you from now on. As a result, the life you have in your body, you live it by faith in Jesus.

In other words, people around you may still see the old you. But, God sees a reflection of Himself when He looks at you.

As a result, society and the world around you will eventually see who God has called you to be.

3) You are precious and honored in God's eyes

In God’s eyes, you are more precious than anything in the world. And, always remember that no matter what, you always matter in God’s eyes.

Therefore, nothing, in the visible and the invisible, is able to separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior.

Because you are so precious in God’s eyes, God loves you and can give anything in return just for you and your life.

God knows you. God knows when you sit and when you rise. Because of God’s love, God has called you to be God’s ambassador and serve through God’s ministry of reconciliation.

You are God’s special possession and called to declare the praises of God who called me out of darkness into HIS wonderful light.

Once you had not received mercy, but now you have found mercy through faith in Christ.

Yes, you are God’s treasured possession. And, out of all people, God, has called you by name saying: “You are mine for ever.”

Remember to send us your prayer concerns

A few more scriptures you could read for the rest of this week:

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you.

Isaiah 43:1-28

“Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows”

Matthew 10:31

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20
