“Trust” is another attitude we all need to embrace, which will help us overcome fear and anxiety. Non-judgment and Patience are where you should start.
The major components of “Trust” include:
-
- Emotional attachment.
- Active listening.
- Love.
- Faithfulness.
A scripture I use as the foundation for this reflection is Proverbs 3:5-6,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
You can inspire trust in people or gain trust from them if, for example, you don’t remember their names or things that matter to them. There’s no way to do it if you’re not willing to actively listen to them, and show that you love them. Nor, can you build trust if you don’t remain faithful to your words and the people in your life.
In this video, I discuss all of the above with ways that can help you trust, and more importantly, how trust can help you overcome fear and anxiety.
